very jealous of your VERY summer-like activities!! we’ve seen the sun once in the last 5 weeks, no joke, and it is currently pouring down rain. another inch last night. might be a few years until we get our crops in the garden, and a few decades before they need water. ;)
sounds like a great routine and you have a great buddy to share it with. :)
Beautifully busy day. When work really seems like play.
Sounds like a beautiful way to start your day! I’m just wondering, though, what time do you get up?
Sounds wonderful, except for the picking up dead rodents part :)
RELEASE THE HOUNDS!
I’m with Courtney, what time do you get up? Please tell me it’s some ungodly hour, I will feel so guilty if it’s not.
I love that you include Charlotte in everything you do.
that explains that you truly are a superhero!!! i love those kinda of days! precious times!
We get up whenever Charlotte gets up. Lately, that’s been around 8am. It sounds like more activity than it is, though. Holding a hose to water pumpkins takes less than a minute!
Amber - Every morning, when it’s time to let the dogs out I ask Charlotte if she’d like to help me release the hounds. The other day I made the mistake of asking if she wanted to help me put the dogs outside and she went nuts! HOUN! HOUN! HOUN! and stood in front of their crate until I said ‘release the hounds’ instead lol. Also, for a long time I sang ‘who let the dogs out?‘ whenever they went running out to the water dish and now she wants me to sing it all the time. SONG! SONG! SONG! Lol.
Christy - I’m sending you warm weather wishes! It’s really hot here right now, well into the 80s, so I hope that’s on its way to you too!
That sounds like such a wonderful day. I wish I was able to stay home with my kids.
Hi Sarah,
It was so great to meet you at the park today. I swear I’m not a stalker, just a fan. I feel like we’re old friends, but then I realize that I just read about your everyday musings online. Weird, right? Anyway, I’ll keep scouring your site for great parks and fun adventures in the area, and I’ll promise to comment more. :)
Love this. Wish I had the growing season to make this my routine, too.
Hi Sara,
It was nice running into you today; thanks for saying hi! Don’t worry - I didn’t think you were stalkerish. I just didn’t want to intrude on your time with your mom =)
How often are you in the area? It’s quite a drive from your neck of the woods! (I’m the stalker; I looked it up on Mapquest because it’s been forever since I drove anywhere north of Westwood - and even that’s a stretch.)
Also, no biggie on the comments. It’s just - if someone has commented here before, chances are very good that I recognize their name and have an idea of who they are. And if they have a link to their own blog, I can guarantee that I have gone there and read, probably multiple times. I was just asking to put a name and face together. As soon as you mentioned your blog name, I knew exactly who you were. I wasn’t trying to guilt you into commenting, I promise =)
Sarah

Ahhhh. Have I ever told you how nice it is to think of you at home raising your child? Very nice. Also, are you going to can this summer?
