Overheard last night when Donald was setting Charlotte down for the night:

    -  I love you too, sweetheart.

    -  Yes, I love you too!

    -  Lub you four!

    -  You love me four?

    -  Yes!  Lub you five!

    -  Love you five?  Well I love you too.

    -  Lub me too?

    -  Yes, I love you too.

    -  Daddy?

    -  Yes, sweetheart?

    -  Lub you ten.  Yes ah do.

HEART MELT!!!  I had my own heart melt last night with my 17 month old, she was sick and called out for me at 2am, I went in and we rocked for awhile and had a sip of water, she looked up at me and said for the first time “tank chu maw ma”

When my youngest brother (who’s about 15 years younger than me) was asked as a little boy how much he loves you he’d say “I love you ten!“. The sweetest.

this is the cutest thing ever!!! I kept journals for my girls from when they were born and the one thing I wish I had written more of in the moment was conversations! I tended to write more about the things I could remember at the end of a long tiring day and usually it was not so much those little conversations….dang it!
glad you are writing them all down!
