Awesome. You are totally not a nerd. She will have SO. MUCH. FUN. learning about the SKY! :)
Oooohhhhh, how neat. Must go pin now ;-) My mom and I are currently making C a ton of fake food after seeing it on Pinterest. Love getting ideas from there!
LOL Kimberly, I’m the same way. I’ve been loving the play kitchens especially =)
FOR REAL, is Pinterest the Shiz or what?? As someone who doesn’t even have a facebook account, I am so sucked into Pinterest I’ve lost a little respect for myself over it, lol… My friend made a ‘Pinterest Success’ board where she pins all of the things she’s successfully duplicated. I love the idea!
Oh yeah, about the actual thing I meant to comment on.. I feel terrible because Matthew is a total space geek (and weirdly fascinated by anything even remotely related to night-time), but I’m too intimidated by the constellations myself to feel like I’d be a good teacher. He got a telescope for Christmas that came with a constellation chart, but it just all swims together in front of me. (I love that Einstein quote: If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.) Ideas like this are good for people like me, lol.
Alicia S - I don’t know shit about the constellations, which is probably why this appeals to me too. I love that we’re learning it together, you know?
Not nerdy at all! My husband has that Star Walk app on his phone and the kids love to go outside with him at night and see what’s above them, look at the app, then find the correct stars in the actual sky. It’s been a really cool learning experience for them. I took astronomy for my physics credit in college and loved it.
