A three-year-old’s favorite things.
June 11, 2012

This weekend, Charlotte was introduced to both roller-skating and bowling and I feel that calling these activities RAGING SUCCESSES really underscores how much she loved them.  Certainly roller-skating made her list of Absolute Favorite Things In The World EVER EVER EVER AMEN.

But bowling was pretty well-loved too!

Don’t believe me?  See for youself!

Charlotte’s Top Ten Absolute Favorite Things In The World EVER EVER EVER AMEN (in no particular order):
    1.  Reading
    2.  Disneyland
    3.  Yogurt
    4.  Tucking in her friends
    5.  The tree-swing Daddy built
    6.  Desmond (time to update those pictures!)
    7.  Nature treasures
    8.  Screaming at the top of her lungs
    9.  Minicroche

See?  And you thought I just came here and made shit up all the time.  That there is verifiable proof.  Straight from the mouth of the beast herself.  She also included an eleventh, which was “probably cheese” but then that changed to “probably tomatoes” and then “probably just cake,“ so I think we’re just going to have to sum it up by saying that she likes food.

This list took three days to compile, for the record.  I asked her what her favorite things are and she had zero ability to focus on the task at hand.  COME ON, KID.  MOMMA’S GOT A BLOG TO WRITE.

Also, I noticed that there are some glaring omissions, like MOMMA.  Clearly I haven’t been brain-washing her as well as I thought I was with regards to how much fun I am.  I’m going to have to step up my game.

In other news, today is The Ultrasound.  I am nineteen weeks along and Donald and I have decided to wait until the birth to discover the sex of the baby, soooo this ultrasound is not a big reveal.  The ultrasound was recommended by our midwife to rule out any obvious health concerns that would place us in need of a NICU at delivery.

The good news about The Ultrasound, something which did not occur with Charlotte, is that hopefully I’ll have some nice grainy blobby pictures to obsess over while everyone else rolls their eyes!  I can’t wait.  The bad news is that we do not find out the results for another two to three weeks.  TWO TO THREE WEEKS!  This is going to require every last bit of patience I have, and then some.  So I don’t care about pesky things like walking and managing utensils at the dinner table, I want to see some fingers and toes crossed, world!

** Charlotte is two years and ten months old.  I am eighteen weeks pregnant.

So gonna still the fav things list for a post of my own. Such a good way to document a child’s personality at a certain age! Can’t wait to hear about the ultrasound.

Ohmygoodness, Hannah LOVES roller skating.  One of her aunties gave her some for Christmas (these hideous pink plastic Barbie monstrosities) and she LOVES them.

I’m pretty sure if I asked her to make a list of her top ten favorites, screaming at the top of her lungs would be on there too. ;)
