Do you see that?  That?  Right there?  Yeah.  That’s spit-up.

Poor Donald.

Isaac was about that age, I was holding him above my head and playing. He threw up in my mouth. Not fun.

Great timing on capturing the picture! That is pretty gross Veronica. Lacking in children of my own, I take care of a lot of different kiddos and one little one was a projectile (like 5 feet) vomiter. After EVERY bottle!

Parenthood, near as I can tell, teaches you to be more wary of the contents of another person’s stomach than you ever dreamed.
Tell Donald that it’s happened to all of us at least once.  Well, maybe not the caught on camera part…

Could be worse.  I found out the hard way that you never hold a baby above your face right after said baby just ate, cause spit up tastes gross!!!

*sigh* true love however knows no boundaries :0)

Yikes!  Is that Donald’s side of the bed?

Guess he learned pretty quickly to put a burpie under her head when she’s on the bed!  I certainly did.  And our sofa?  Covered with spit-up spots.  Thank heavens for Resolve.

I love that you caught her mid-spit.  That’s awesome.

Oh, I definitely recognize it…looks just like the stuff that my Little Miss Reflux put right down the inside of my sweatshirt and t-shirt this morning…right into the ol’ cleavage.  Good times!!!  ; )

Classic that you caught it on film!

Haha! Thats one for the baby book. Thats why walking around with a camera glued to your fingers is beneficial.

This is one of the greatest photos ever.  And a moment that has to happen to everyone at some point.  I think it is your official welcome into parenthood.

Isn’t it great how babies warn you before they spit up? Oh, yours doesn’t do that? Come to think of it, mine didn’t either… damn kids.

Poor Donald is right, you will never ever get use to this.  When the boys were a few weeks old they had explosive poop!  And my hubs was changing Little W and poop shot out all over his shirt, on the floor, his arm.  I died laughing, but he calmly set him down, and left the room.  I think I laughed for 30 minutes!!!  Parenthood at its finest!

  27. By Kiza Olson on September 11, 2009
