I heart my baby daddy.
November 18, 2009

Donald just keeps getting sexier.  Sexier and sexier and sexier.  And while people told me this would happen, told me that I would want to rip his clothes off and ravage him because he made gorilla noises at our baby, I have to admit that I never really thought they were right.

I mean, five years ago, CAN MAKE GORILLA NOISES was not at the top of my what-I-want-in-a-husband list, you know?

OH MY GOODNESS, I NEED ANOTHER ONE.

As it turns out, though, making gorilla noises is a great way to get me in the sack.

Naturally, upon realizing this, Donald began to spend as much time as he possibly could making gorilla noises.  And the more he makes those gorilla noises, the more I listen to my baby giggle at those gorilla noises, the more irresistible I find my husband.  If that man so much as gets that gonna-make-gorilla-noises twinkle in his eye?  I get dizzy and my heart starts racing and the next thing I know, my clothes are gone.  NO IDEA HOW.  It just happens.

It’s the craziest thing.

Do you even know how much self-control is involved in keeping my clothes on right now?

Actually, no.  The craziest thing is that this whole clothes-have-vanished phenomenon is not limited to gorilla noises.  I also find it remarkably sexy when Donald changes a diaper.  Or when he brags to his coworkers about his daughter’s newfound ability to shove FIVE TOES! FIVE WHOLE TOES! in her mouth.  Or when he stuffs a load of onesies in the laundry.  And when he sings her a lullaby?

Oh my word.  My clothes disappear at the mere THOUGHT of him singing her a lullaby.

Just a happy moment with her father.

The older Charlotte gets, the more I find that the little things Donald does – like devoting ten minutes to kissing her toes – drive me wild.  I never thought that I would be the sort of woman who was all FATHERS ARE HOT, but you know what?  I totally am.  There is nothing sexier than a man loving on his baby.  My man.  Loving on my baby.

Even ESPECIALLY when that loving includes making gorilla noises.  Rawr.

Just wanted to say that Charlie looks so chubby in these pics - what a cutie!

Also, sounds like Charlie could be a big sister soon…. :)

I’ve said it before: you need to put a trigger warning on some of your posts.  My ovaries plotting against me right this very minute (oooh, look at that baby…you could have another one of those chubalicious behbehz…you know you want to…)
Seriously, though - you would be doing your part to beautify the world if you’d just keep having babies.  Although I can see, with more toes for Donald to nibble, and more gorilla noises to make, that could totally snowball on you.

P.S. Not sure if you’re aware, but Google Reader doesn’t properly link to your page?  If I get to your page at all, I get the “you must have done something wrong” look from Donald.  Granted, it might just be MY Google Reader (although I’ve checked the settings, and it seems like it should be fine), but I wanted to let you know.

waltz is right,  google reader sometimes doesn’t link to your pages, including this page. (no big deal for me though)

I know just how you feel.

It’s probably why I’m pregnant with baby #4 right now. ;-)

I can’t wait for this kind of unadulterated lust for my husband-turned-father. What joy!

Oh…I so completely get where you are coming from.  I melt every time I see my husband make our daughter smile.  And it happens every day.  Several times a day.  She will definitely be daddy’s little girl.  And, me?  I get to be his big naughty one.  Or something like that.  Ah…the balance of family life!  ; )

    Agreed. Totally!

Am totally with you on this one.  I eavesdropped on the baby monitor last night to the Frenchman reading her a bedtime story - complete with adlibbing and thick accent.  Swoon.

That’s pure preciousness! I agree 100%. Now that our little guy has been here.. I never imagine how much more I could fall in love with my husband. Now when I see him just sitting there and staring at my son, oh goodness. Simply irresistable.

FYI: I’ve privitized my blog. If you’d like to follow along, please feel free to email me and I’ll send you an invite so you can read it.

OMG.  Can I come eat your baby?  Because, like I tell Hannah - what are cheeks for?  Cheeks are for nibbling on.  Charlotte is SO. stinking. cute.

ha!  That’s so true - it’s funny how we start to view our husbands in different lights when babies come along.  It’s an amazing thing, too bad we can’t bottle that whole gorilla-making-noises-attraction thing, isn’t it?  Would make a fortune!
