Errrr. Welllllll. She’s been happier!
She actually did much better than I thought she would, but even so she woke up screaming a few times in the night over the last three nights and she’s been very fussy during the day. Now that they’ve broken through and don’t seem to be receding, I’m hoping she’s done for a couple weeks and can catch a break. Poor kiddo! Those teeth really seem like they hurt! =(
-
Oh poor Charlotte! But I think it is only right for you to offer photos of these peeking out baby teeth because they are really cute (to those of us whose boobies are not being chomped). I really enjoyed your interview and Gena’s answers! I wish I were interesting/entertaining, then I could be behind the blog. I think that I belong behind the scenes for now though! I hope that Charlotte does get a break from the mouth-pain for a few weeks and you can all enjoy a bit more sleep!
-
I heart books too, it’s nice to see people sitting their children in front of books more than they do the TV.
Loved the behind the blog interview, when will we volunteers know when it’s our turn?
-
We heart books, here, too!
Love the “Behind the Blog” feature. How fun! I can’t wait to meet more bloggers.
Hmm…teeth…it’s about time for those around here. I wonder if that could be the reason for random waking up in the middle of the night?!
-
Yay for Charlotte!!!!! Hopefully her gums aren’t too itchy.
Can’t wait to see what’s next. -
Meg - Soon! (I’m, quite predictably, a tad behind in organizing it all.)
-
Oh how fun!!!
Your poor nipples.
-
Fuuunnnn…. way to go, Charlotte. Sawyer is right behind you ;)
-
We heart books too. Hannah’s favorite is a touchy board book, and she turns the pages until she gets to her favorite page (a dog with shaggy fuzzy ears) so she can stroke the ears. If I turn to the next page (a dog with a cute squashy nose), she turns it back to the shaggy ears page.
By the way, I absolutely l.o.v.e. LOVE that you don’t have time to finish painting the wall in your living room, or put up baseboards, but you have time to read books with Charlotte. Now there is a family with its priorites in line! I also like that Donald is reading one of Charlotte’s books by himself. Is he previewing it, to make sure there are no scandalous parts?
-
So fun to meet other bloggers!
We heart books here too (and those are fantastic photos). Actually, throwing a book at Elizabeth will keep her occupied for a very long time flipping pages. Elizabeth especially likes books about peek-a-boo games (eg “Baby Boo”).
Does Charlotte like to flip pages too yet? If so, I bet Donald is memorizing the book so that he can more easily speed talk his way through the book. Right?? (That’s what my husband’s been doing lately. Reading books Elizabeth style is pretty funny since the story gets out of order, truncated and double-time in an effort to keep up with the flipping.)
-
I agree, Charlotte reading that book is the cutest. I’m guessing, Donald will blog too, or you’ll write a book? Am I close on either?
-
Erin - Heh. Hehehe. No. He was reading it because he’d never seen it before =)
Mary - She’s not QUITE at that stage yet. She loves to explore the book and turn the pages, but she hasn’t figured out that she can keep turning them. We have to start the process for her. Soon enough, we’ll read ahead for that, though!
Corinne - I can’t even convince the man to use Facebook lol. And no, I’m not writing a book.
I guess what I should have said is WE HEART CHILDREN’S BOOKS.
-
Oh we love books here too! Can’t to see what changes are in store! We’ve read to my 3 yr old since he was a babe, and it just thrills us that he loves his books so much now that we sometimes just catch him lying in a big pile of them on the floor!! Ours is a book reading book loving family!
-

Holly, that sounds like us. I always read to Matthew: when he was in the Bell, while we breastfed when he was a newborn, and all through the rest of his life. It’s AWESOME to me that now, it’s one of his favorite things to do. At night before bed I get to/HAVE TO read him at least 3 books a night… Now when I turn back to blow him a kiss before I turn out the light, he always has one of his books perched up in front of him and he’s mumbling through his binky “...long ago… choo-choo Thomas… suddenly… the end….“ as if he’s actually reading it himself. TO DIE FOR ADORABLE.
I have a link on one of the posts in my blog of Matthew “reading” his own birthday balloon. He obviously just guessed what it said, but still - it melts my little momma heart.

My son isn’t even 3 months, yet, and he’s got his first two well on their way. They’re so close to breaking through that it isn’t even funny, but he’s miserable and we wait.
Oh the teething.
-
The photo of Charlotte with the book is just about the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen! She looks so serious about the whole thing! Absolutely adorable.
-
Okay, that photo of Charlotte reading is ADORABLE.
-
The one of her holding the book all by herself is just too precious!

Oh my goodness. Charlotte reading that book on her own is just edible. And two teeth! How did she handle it?
