A day early.
November 22, 2011

Our family is still (STILL!) sick and since tomorrow is Thanksgiving and thus our big chance to pass our little bundle of pathogens joy off on relatives, I’m sorry but I think we’re going to spend a few more days basically absent.

Happy Thanksgiving, all.  What are your plans?  Do you have any fun family traditions?

Bummer - my husband is sick too (well, on the mending side at least!) But, this latest flu/cold bug that is going around seems to be vicious!  but, we’re in the midst of a move to Northern CA, so this holiday we are a bit absent too.

Here in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October and this was the first year I did everything myself. It was a little hectic, but it paid off… It was amazing. I made killer Pumpkin Pie from scratch (save for the crust, I suck at pastry dough) and my husband and closest friend both said it was the best Pumpkin Pie they’ve ever had. I was over the moon.

This will be the 1st ever that we are NOT visiting family. Instead, we are having a little Thanksgiving here at our new home by ourselves. I’m very excited.

I hope you’ll be able to enjoy at least some of the fixings. It is a shame to be sick for the holidays. I am new to your blog but I’ll be back. Have a good day. Blessings…Mary

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to you all! Hope you’re all feeling better now. No, no fun traditions. Lame, I know!
