Charlotte’s first word is HI!  In capital letters, with an exclamation point, and likely with a bright smile and a happy wave thrown in for kicks.

Everything else she says sounds like ba-ma-da-ra-ga-da-da-ba-la-me-fa-ma-de-wa, but HI! is not attached to any string of random syllables at all, it is its own entity.  And it began to happen just as I thought I could not possibly love her more.

I thought wrong.

Uterine Twinges—and I have not had a uterus since March of ‘86. Remember way back then? When a Dodge Dart was cache and short hair was in thanks to Sigourney Weaver in Alien 3? Before the Internets? and cell phones? and cloth diapers and baby wearing? In those days everyone carried their young ones in those enormous car/carrier seats with the handles-when was the last time we saw one of them in our ever-so-attached society?

Sarah, you have The Best Baby Blog on the Web. hands Down. And every time you put the link to vote at the bottom of your post—I go Vote!!!

You and Donald and Charlotte and the little ones still forthcoming brighten my day-every day. For that I thank you; so does our part-time charge: an adorable 20-month old who loves the pics of Charlotte that I use for desktop wallpaper.

super cute! and the little bow is amazing :)

I love the bow.  Does she try to take it out?  I’ve refrained from bows because I want to keep the hair and it seems like I can’t have both yet.  Sigh.

And I have no idea what Elizabeth’s first word was (double sigh).

    But hi! is awesome.

PS I’m signing the petition for a video.
