Arguably the most lovely sight in the world.

Sometimes I lay there as she sleeps, listening to her rhythmic breathing, smelling that scent I so adore, feeling her body warm against mine.  My fingers trace her curls, the soft curves of her cheeks, her still and chubby fingers.  The worries and pressures of each day slowly melt away.  She babbles as she snoozes and I wonder what she dreams of, this child of mine.  And then I close my eyes and drift to sleep beside her.  The only thing more wonderful than holding her as she slumbers is holding her when she wakes.

Wow! I am blown away by this picture/post. Beautiful.

Question as a fellow co-sleeper: When you and Donald are blessed with another child, will you continue to co-sleep with Charlotte and the new babe or try and transition Charlotte into her own sleeping arrangements?

Beautiful picture of a beautiful little girl.  It really is a precious thing to sleep beside your children.

What a beautiful picture. We don’t co-sleep, but sometimes when Nate wakes early we bring him into bed with us. I love cuddling next to him. His face has changed quite a bit since he was an infant, but when he sleeps he looks exactly the same as he has always looked.

Oh, I love watching my kiddos sleep. There is nothing more peaceful than their little slumbering faces. Every night I check on them just before I go to bed and spend a few moments breathing them in. It’s a good end to my day.

Bethany - I honestly have no idea.  We’re hoping to put a small bed in our room so that Charlotte can sleep there.  In theory, she’d still be in the same room and have access to us while the new baby stayed in the bed with us.  We both know that we don’t want to move Charlotte into a separate room until she has a sibling to share it with and Hank is a little better house-trained so that he can share it too.  But we’ll see how much of the “ideal” actually comes to fruition!  First things first: GET PREGNANT.  Then I’ll worry about the rest lol.

Children are so precious when they are sleeping. There is a certain calmness that is emitted from them. I used to love waking up in the morning and seeing the sleeping face of my daughter. Once again the benefits of co-sleeping.
