Birth of a nickname.
February 21, 2009

-  When I was a kid, bullies teased me by calling me Sarah Smartypants.  I HATED IT.
-  Sarah Fartypants?
-  No.  Sarah Smartypants.
-  Oh.

(pause)

-  I think Sarah Fartypants is more fitting.

I like that this post is filed under “Farts” and “Marriage.“ I suggest you add Al Bundy to the list and call it a day. ;)

Hi Sarah - So nice to meet you here!  After having a few kids, I would love any nickname that made me reminisce of the size pants I wore back in the olden days.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!  I love babies, loved being pregnant - yes, even in the uncomfortable 3rd trimester.  It is truly a miraculous time.  Enjoy every, every moment!

    Love,
    Katherine

They called me woodpecker or pecker-head (last name is Becker). It never really bothered me.

To me it was just a rhyme, nothing to do with me, BUT they also called me freckle face ... that bothered me!

I was Silly Willey.  Plus, they loved to sing the song—Willie won’t go home.  I hated that song and I hated that nickname.  I like being a grown up.  :)

I had no nicknames, but my husband’s family was scatilogical: He was Poo Pie (based on the look of his fecal matter)  and his sister was poppleberry (based on the sound of her farts).
