Can you believe Evie is 12 weeks old today?
January 31, 2013

Yeah.  Neither can I.

** Charlotte is three years and six months old.  Evie is twelve weeks old.

Wow!  What a cutie!  She looks so different from Charlotte!  What is her personality like?  And how’s Charlotte’s preschool going?  I was just re-reading your great homeschooling PDFs yesterday and I was wondering if you are still doing those or if life has carried you in a busier direction.

Oh my goodness, I don’t think I can even leave a coherent comment! I have been washed away in the adorableness!

Julien - It’s a little of both, I guess =)  I have about 14 or 15 PDFs that I never got around to posting here, but they were made up and used and loved here so hopefully once I fine-tune them (because naturally not everything I planned happened or worked, and other things came up that did work that were not originally on my notes to try) I’ll post them.  But I’ve been saying that for ages, so we’ll see how it goes.

Additionally, I just started a home-education community group that meets for the first time next week, so I’m sure that as that develops I’ll have more posts about that…but again I have to find the energy to post them.  I can find time, but lately I’m just burned out and want to use my time to sleep lol.

Charlotte’s preschool is going great, though!  I volunteered in the class on Tuesday and was so excited to see how well it went.  Charlotte’s French is really coming along well so we’ve been using more and more French materials at home and it’s been really great.  I’ve started trying to lay out home-ed PDFs in French/English with probably about a 50% success rate lol - sometimes Charlotte doesn’t want to try anything in French outside of school but most of the time she’s really stoked about it.

Evie’s personality is…I don’t know.  She’s much quieter than Charlotte (no cooing, no laughing, etc - she can, but she likes to be quiet and watch things instead), but also much more clingy.  She’s also much more active a baby than Charlotte was - lots of kicking, trying to roll around, pushing and moving all the time.  So we’ll see what happens in the long-term! =)

    Oh the cuteness!!!!!!

I’ve been meaning to tell you how grateful I am for a couple of the postpartum posts that you did a while back (and all the good suggestions in the comments, too). I’ve gone back and read them a few times, as I’m due in a few weeks. (Eeeek!)

(Also, if you have the energy—-haha!——to write a quick “here’s what else I wish I would have gotten for postpartum!“ post, I will soak it up like a sponge!)

Thanks for getting back to me Sarah, I know how busy you must be.

It’s so exciting to hear about your adventures in education.  You’ve inspired me to learn French (I found an amazing interactive app for my phone that I’m working through and I listen to French CDs while commuting).  I would love to see your PDFs if you get a chance, even if they are sloppy.  I would probably change a bunch of stuff to suite my needs anyway.  : )  Mostly, you just inspire me as to the potential of learning and exploration.  So, thank you.

She is so beautiful. Want to give her cuddles! I had my second child, a girl, about 14 months ago, and I have just started getting belly aches for a third. Don’t want to be greedy but didn’t think I’d have a physical ache for another, either. Seeing your gorgeous gal makes me get that longing. Lucky to have my two. Blessed. :)
