I am and always have been one of the world’s biggest fans of carrots.  Together, Charlotte and I can put away four carrots a day every day and never tire of the flavor.

Last night when I uploaded this picture from our point-and-shoot, I just about died on the spot from cuteness.

There are so many moments in parenthood that blow me away, but there is something about seeing Charlotte pull a carrot out of the ground, grin proudly, then start chomping away that to me is particularly magical.

I am so ridiculously in love with this little girl.

So adorable. I love carrots too, but sadly that is the ONLY veggie that I can’t get Maggie to eat (seriously, the kid loves kale, but not carrots? who is she?!) I’ve tried sauteing, roasting with butter and brown sugar, she won’t even even my tomato sauce if I puree them into it!

    WHAT?!  Kale over carrots?!

Usually I consider anyone who likes kale to be a mutant, but Maggie’s pretty cute so I guess I’ll have to reform that statement =)

Does she happen to like purple or white carrots?  Charlotte prefers the colorful ones.  I don’t like them as much because they aren’t as sweet, but even in roasts or mashed up in purees where Charlotte doesn’t see the color she prefers the flavor of the ones without the orange color.  It’s really weird lol.

P.S.  I’ll try to call you or text you later.  The next meet-up at my house is coming up =)
