I used to be a second grade teacher, so we do A LOT of reading in our house!!! We go to the public library once a week (and my LO is only 5 months old) :-)
Everyone in our house is obsessed with reading, including our 12 mo old Nate. We go to the library a few times a month. They have terrific free classes there, including baby sign language and song time. We love it there!
We go about twice a month and we love it! :)
Personally, I’m at the library at least once a week. I always take DS with me. We have yet to attend a story time (he’s 5 months old), but hope to start soon! My mom always took my sibs and I to the library at least once a week to get books and we also attended storytimes. It definitely impacted my love of the library as well as my love of books! I really hope to pass that on to my son.

Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m a grad student, so I live at the library. Now that I have a little one, though, I will begin taking her to story time this fall at the local public library. Can’t wait!

I had forgotten about this book! I love it too! I think my copy must have gotten left at the preschool.
I voted yesterday for you on top baby blogs and top mommy blogs and just did it again right now. Is that 3 entries? We’re at the library once a week. D loves storytime!
i used to go once a week or so but now that i have a day job i hardly ever have the time anymore :(
just voted for you!
I go to the library once every couple weeks.
I just voted.
we go at least once every 2 weeks - more when the weather is miserable. And of course Eloise’s personal library gets visited every day.
I go to the library about once a week or more.
What a cool book! I love books. :)
We got to the library once a week - and I liked Lauren’s comment about going to our personal library; that happens many, many times a day!
Now that the kids are in preschool we only go to the library once a week. My daughter is starting kindergarten this year and she is so excited about the library in the school! It has all kids books! It’s huge! For me, it’s so fun to see her excited about that.
I have a hard time lending books from the library because I fall in love with them and have to own them. I have boxes and boxes of books in the garage that won’t fit on my two bookshelves but anytime I try to get rid of them I can’t do it.
When I’m not working, we go once a week. When I’m working (in a school), I go daily. School libraries are sanctuaries for tired teachers!
I feel terrible about this but we just moved to town and we haven’t been to the library yet. I was telling my hubby yesterday that we need to go to story time soon.
We rarely keep books the entire time the library allots. We’re going about every week!
We go to the library about every two weeks. The kids love exploring!
I voted! We’re so excited that our library is opening again for reading programs (it’s been a request only system for about a year while our local branch was renovated).
But Elizabeth has meanwhile aged out of the baby program and into the toddler program. How DID this happen?
We go at least once a week, but have been known to go up to three times per week!
We usually get to the library a couple times a month but our local branch is closed for renovations…so for now I have to browse online, request books and pick up at a local community center.
I voted at both sites.
I actually don’t go to the library. I know I should, but I’m horrible at returning books. I do, however, go to used books stores. I heart them. :)
I go to the library every day, which I suppose is cheating because I’m a librarian. When I was a kid, though, we went every week without fail. I love when families come in regularly—we get to know all them very well over the years, and it’s great to see.
Keep up the good work with this site—I think you’re promoting some great ideas about literacy, and I voted for you!
We go once a week…after summer is over, more hopefully….I want to go to the story-time
This book looks great! :) I love the illustrations.
We have not ventured to the library yet, as Jude refuses to be quiet or sit still. 2 things that are generally frowned uopn at the library. ;) However, I can’t wait to take him when he is a bit older and understands WHY one must not scream at the top of his lungs at the library.

(and I’m going to search out an older link for Top Mommy Blogs, too…since you didn’t include one here.well, i’m a librarian, so i’m there quite a lot! but i have to say that even when i’m not working - traveling or days off - i seem to find my way into other libraries!
I have a question about reading to babies. My son is almost 10 months old and I still haven’t brought him to the library. I’ve been trying to read to him since he was a few weeks old. That may have backfired, because all he wants to do now is turn the pages. He doesn’t bother looking at what’s on the page, he just wants to flip flip flip….. I try to slow him down so I can read what’s on the page but he just loses interest.
Any suggestions on how I can get him to slow down and enjoy books the way they were meant to be?
I voted once… and I don’t ever go to the library because there are none where I live :( (Central America) That is why I’m building my home library for our first little one who will arrive in January. I loved going to the library when I was a kid!
E and I go to the library at least once a week. He turned one in May so we were able to join their “movers and groovers” story-time this summer. Now the librarians know his name…I love it!
I voted at both sites!
We are approaching once a week! I’m going to have to start making a list of all your book suggestions as I’ve loved every one!
I voted for you on Top Baby Blogs! You’re #17 right now!
We try at least once a week - it would be more if I was a SAHM
voted as well :)
we go every 2 weeks to our library
voted again for both!
I go to the library normally when my books are due, and get more out.

we just went to the library last week for the first time in ages. I kept putting it off because I thought I owed a huge fee but turns out I only owed $3.00. Who knew? :)
All the time, too many times to count. But it’s not just for the kids. We go to get books for me, too!

I go to the library usually every couple of weeks, and if I’m borrowing DVDs, I’m there every week. I purchased Wave, thank you for the wonderful suggestion. You should get an amazon.ca affiliate code too if you can because I wasn’t able to purchase with your link at .com.
same answer for today!—

voted for you again today on both!! I can’t believe how dedicated I am to getting a free book, I usually would just go buy them! I guess the lack of money flow is starting to sink in after a year as a stay at home mom ;).
Nice seeing you today.I am gonna have to start entering these, I am 6 weeks pregnant! Yay!
From when I was very small, I always attended the library every Saturday morning. When I was at college I got a Saturday job working at my local library. Recently I have not attended all that much, but when little bean arrives I will be heading there at every opportunity!
Last daily entry—

Looks like a great book!
And thanks for the reminder about library story time—I need to start that with my older son!I’d say we go 3-4 times a month. Looking forward to going more soon! The library was my favorite place growing up! Magical!

We love to read in our house and are at the library at least once a week.
