Finally Friday.
April 30, 2010

Have you ever had one of those weeks that never seems to end?  I do not mean that in a bad way, really.  Sometimes it just happens, you know?  One day drags on and on and on so that when the next day arrives, it surprises you that the weekend is not yet here.

This was definitely one of those weeks for me.

In other news, as Donald and I were backing up pictures last night, we found some of Charlotte in the stroller a week or two ago.  I had meant to post the photographs with a post I wrote at the time, but I forgot all about it.  When I saw them again, I knew I had to share!

In blog news, okay, look, I’m a horrible blogger.  Am I behind on Odin’s list of links?  Yes.  Am I behind on blogger features?  Yes.  Am I behind on e-mail?  ALWAYS.  Am I behind on my brilliant plan to re-start the design column?  Yes.  Am I behind on figuring out how to use Facebook?  Yes.  Am I behind on the guest posts I promised people I’d write?  Yes.  Am I behind on figuring out how to put video on this site?  Yes.  Am I behind on updating Flickr?  Yes.  Am I behind on some of the reading project stuff I keep meaning to work on?  Yes.  Am I behind on commenting and responding to comments and things like that?  Yes.  Am I behind on reading the five billion blogs that are in my reader?  Yes.  Am I just generally behind on updating my daily photographs?  Yes.  But in my defense, the baby is really cute.  And have you ever tried to concentrate on things like website coding and e-mail writing when there’s a cute baby nearby?

It’s impossible, I tell you.  Impossible.  So the website might be a disaster, but at least my little girl is well-snuggled.

*** This week’s book giveaway (Bear at Work by Stella Blackstone) winner is Beyond the Window.  Congratulations!

Heh. This is why when people ask if I have thought about working from home I look at them like they are crazy. As if I’d get anything done with the baby nearby.

“So the website might be a disaster, but at least my little girl is well-snuggled.“

And THAT is as it should be!

for me it’s the housework that gets put off…who wants to vacuum or do dishes when there are 2 cute kids to hug and read with and play with

I put off blogging.  And dishes.  And laundry.  And, well…SOOO much stuff!  That is inevitable with a baby (cute or otherwise, although mine is cute beyond cute, thank you very much!) nearby!  No worries…

Oh my, she is absolutely adorable! I wouldn’t get anything done if I had a baby in my house right now. And if your website is a mess because you’re giving her snuggles then you’re doing the right thing. : )

I felt the same way about last week.  It just seemed like it was never going to end.  Oh well it did finally.

Don’t feel bad about slightly neglecting your blog because of your baby.  That is how it’s suppose to be and that is the boat I’m in too.

Welcome to my world of being a bad blogger!  Although, in my defense, I am trying to get back into it slowly but surely (emphasis on the slow).
