Growing pup.
July 18, 2011

Millie is nearly seven months old at this point and HOLY COW has that dog grown.  When we brought her home, she was smaller than our (then) kittens.  I carried her in a sling for easily the first month we had her and worried constantly that a predator like a hawk or an owl or possibly a very large dust bunny might swoop down and carry her off.

Now she’s…well…I don’t know what size exactly.  I don’t monitor her growth very precisely, but I stopped being able to carry her in a sling ages ago.  So.  Let’s put it that way.

As for the picture?  I would take a photograph of Millie free-ranging it, but it turns out that the only way to get a seven-month-old puppy to hold still enough for a picture is to: a) put her in the dog run, or b) dangle raw chicken liver in front of her.  And I like to limit the amount of time I spend doing anything that involves raw chicken liver.
