In unrelated news…

...there is this!  A toadstool my father built over the weekend with redwood that had been chopped down nearby (a parking lot? a roadside?) for Charlotte to play on.  It made me smile to find that when I was harping on about garden toadstools, someone was listening.

The toadstool is only a few yards away from where Donald and I were married, by the way.  Isn’t it lovely?

Love the toadstool! Very whimsical, there are a few here (not quite as cute) in one of the parks that we take our dog to. Their in a little wooded area hidden away and there is a carved bear in there too. I always imagine finding them if I was little and how magical it would be. So cool that Charlotte’s got her own! You’re a great mom, F-bombing and all :)

It looks like a beautiful place to play / sit.  I’m sure Charlotte must love that toadstool.  How long did it take for her to climb up and stand up on it and then jump off?

too cute. Jude loves anything that’s about the height of his butt for ease of sitting or climbing on.

That looks very magical. Too bad you don’t get snow. I bet it would look very whimsical all covered in snow.

I love when a garden reflects personalities like yours (and mine). Gorgeous location, too, and loaded with memories.

Love it. My father does really good woodwork and made our daughter and future kids a high chair out of cherry. It’s beautiful and I think things made from our elders are so special and should be cherished more.

Can my lil Elvis come over to play?  It’s like something out of a storybook…in a really good way…with elves and fairies!
