This is a photograph I snapped of Charlotte a little over a month ago, right as she was starting to sit unsupported for longer stretches of time. She was not, however, very good at playing with toys or looking around at the same time. As soon as she caught me taking her picture, she started grinning, and she was so excited that she threw her toy and her arms started flailing and her head started bobbing and before I knew it, she’d toppled onto her belly and started pulling herself toward me.
I cannot believe how much she has changed since this day. Her hair is longer, that onesie no longer fits her, and she’s incredibly more mobile. I remember it like yesterday, but I look at this photo and it feels like I’m looking at a different baby.

I love the contrast of her perfectness to the unfinished wall. The wall looks sort of artsy, great photo!

I can’t get over how grown up she is looking these days, you are so right - seems like it happened overnight. My son is 7 months and it has been the same, pictures from a short time ago seem like a different baby although and yet I am left wondering where that wee one is!
ALSO…. I think you were in my head this morning when you wrote your post, there is nothing more relaxing to me than when I let go.. give up… and accept that, no, I will not be getting chores done or blog reading done, instead I will lay here with my son as he sleeps.
