Now I know why parents REALLY like preschool.

Me:  Did you have fun today, sweetie?
Her:  Yes, I had so much fun!
Me:  What did you do?
Her:  Lots of stuff, Momma.
Me:  What kinds of stuff?
Her:  I don’t know, Momma.
Me:  You don’t know?  Did you paint?
Her:  Yes.
Me:  Did you play with the other kids?
Her:  Yes.
Me:  Did you –
Her:  MOMMA!  LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!
Me:  Okay, sweetie, tell me something!
Her:  I AM TOO TIRED TO ANSWER QUESTIONS!  JUST TAKE ME HOME BECAUSE I NEED A NAP!

How nice.  I wish it worked that way for us, but Finnley started giving up consistent naps at age two.  Now at age three she pretty much NEVER naps.  I had high hopes that preschool would so wear her out that she couldn’t resist the call of her bed when she got home.  Nope.  stinker!!!

Hilarious! Where can I sign up?? My kid fights like hell at nap time and I would give an arm or leg or at least a finger to have her just go to sleep. :)

I have to laugh…so many of your conversations with Charlotte are almost word-for-word the conversations I have with my almost 3 year old. I picked her up from daycare yesterday and asked her what she did…she told me “mom, i’m too tired to talk right now” and i said “okay, you can tell me all about your day when you’re ready” and she said “how about tomorrow morning?“ HAHAHAHA

I love that she is able to vocalize that! Most little ones fight the nap. :) Hope you’re feeling well!
