Congrats!! When you shared your pregnancy with Aurora I went incognito and wrote you this message:

I had to change the name I usually comment here with because of what I’m going to say… I started reading you at the very beginning, when you were pregnant with Charlotte.
I loved how you wrote about pregnancy, parenthood and your life in general. You made me wish for kids soon, you made me want to walk that path, and you were one of the influences that lead me&hubs;to decide to start trying a full 2 years earlier than planned. When I read about you struggling to get pregnant for the second time, -and this is what I think is amazing about the net- I wished with all my heart you’d get pregnant soon.
Last month husband and I decided to get off birth control and after 2-3 months to get my cycles to where they should be, start actively trying. Since then, I’ve read every single one of your posts thinking how great it would be to read about a “parallel” pregnancy to mine, etc.I still have to wait 2 more months until we try, but I’m so excited thinking that I’ll have twice as many of your posts about pregnancy by the time I get there!!
You and your family are a real inspiration to many readers, I hope you know that. All the best for this new adventure, I’m sure it’ll be wonderful. :)
——-
Then I read about your loss, and I thought about how unfair it was that you had to say goodbye to two of your children.
Months later I heard my doctor say the words “hormone levels not able to sustain a pregnancy” and “shouldn’t be able to ovulate on your own”, and I came back here to read and learn from your adoption process. It was not a path we were ready to follow yet, but it was one we definitely wanted to know more about.
I’ve learnt so much from what you write, and you’ve inspired me a lot all the way. And no, these are not the hormones talking. Although maybe they are. Because you know what? That doctor was wrong! Ha! I’m 16 weeks pregnant and CAN’T WAIT to read all about your pregnancy
So excited for you, Sarah!! Many congrats!!!
What wonderful news!!!
Congratulations! I’m thrilled for you and your family!
Fingers crossed and positive vibes being sent your way! Congratulations, mama!!

If I had more fingers, I would cross them. You are an amazing mother. I read your blog and it gives me strength and encourages me. I read it before I was a parent and loved it. But now, it means so much more. Each child you have is lucky to be touched by you. This little one will be no different. I wish you and him/her the best.
They are crossed! CONGRATS!!
OMG, CONGRATS SARAH!!!! Many Many Prayers and well wishes. :o) Nobody deserves this as much as you! Be Well, Think Happy, Glorious Thoughts, and I can pretty much vouch that everyone will be wishing, praying, and knowing that the outcome will be a healthy and beautiful baby boy or girl. XOXOX
I am a serious lurker on here and have been following you since Charlotte was very little (I have since had my own who is now 15 mos) and it is nice to see something very good come to someone who is very nice. You share a lot of the same principles I do. CONGRATS!!!
So incredibly happy for you!!! Brings tears to my eyes! I know your road to baby #2 has been long….God has truly blessed you for your patience. Praying for a healthy and “easy” pregnancy!!!
Oh gosh, girlie! I saw the title in my google reader and KNEW! I don’t even know you but got all choked up at your sonogram pic thinking of how happy I am for your family. Congrats, congrats, congrats!
Congratulations! I have been following you since you were pregnant with Charlotte…and I was pregnant with my first as well. My son is 2 weeks younger than Charlotte. I have been hoping you would get pregnant again. I am 17 weeks and now we get to be pregnant together again. My fingers are crossed all goes well with this pregnancy. Hugs!
Fingers crossed and all my good thoughts and wishes and vibes and everything going to all FOUR of you!!
Congrats!!!!! This is exciting, hoping this is a sticky baby.
What does this mean for the possible foster children though?
Congratulations, Sarah!!! So happy for you and your family. Best of luck! This is so exciting and wonderful. :)
Megan - We have to postpone accepting a long-term adoptive placement until this baby turns one. Our current plan is to finish certification and become a respite home (72 hour placements before the preliminary court hearing after which they are placed with a foster home) during the pregnancy and infancy if we can - and then accept an adoptive placement after the one-year point. But whether or not we can become a respite home during the pregnancy and infancy depend largely on what our agency is comfortable with and they haven’t given us an answer on that yet so we don’t know yet what path we’ll be on.
When it comes to accepting an adoptive placement, we have two choices. When this baby turns one, we can accept a 2.5 year old who will bridge the gap between Charlotte and this baby - or we can wait another 6-12 months and accept an infant. We’re leaning toward the first, primarily because infants are so much easier to place than toddlers.
Oh Sarah, congratulations to you and your family. I am so happy for you all! Lots of hugs!
Tears of joy for you! Oh, the happiest days ahead ...
:-))))
You know HOW happy I am for you, Sarah…

Sarah- I remember reading your blog while I was newly pregnant with my daughter (who turns one this month!) and feeling so inspired by you. I must confess that during some particularly rough moments at home I’ve actually asked myself, “what would Sarah do right now?” Although I’ve never commented, I have, at times, considered emailing you to thank you for encouraging me to be a more patient, fun, and present parent. I am genuinely so happy for you, your family, and your new precious addition. Congratulations!
Congratulations. I am crossing fingers and praying for you, your family and the little one on the way.
Yay! So excited for you!
